Pause to meditate on gratitude

With all the stressors in our busy lives it is easy to get carried away and overwhelmed. Mindfulness practice is helpful in these times. Take a moment to focus on your breath. In through your nose and out through your mouth...thats better. Now take a moment to reflect on all the things you have to be grateful for. Even if your life is super hectic there are certainly small things to appreciate and express gratitude for. I am grateful for all the people in my life who love me and believe in me. Julia Cameron calls these people "believing mirrors". I am grateful to be able to call on them when life gets hectic. I am also grateful to pass my knowledge along to students. I am grateful for my family.
I am grateful for my teachers. I am grateful for my ability to learn and teach. As a busy student or teacher, pause in your day to breathe peace and reflect on gratitude. You will be happy you did. To my students, teachers, friends and family...all my love, gratitude, respect and belief in your ability to accomplish great things.
