Stone

Strong, not impervious
This face weathered and wizened
By the passing years

Stony old green man
What wisdom can you impart
With your stern visage

Knowledge of nature
Of rain eroding strong stone
Of age and wisdom

Opportunity
Sometimes arrives as a storm
Shaking foundations

The veil is lifted
Everything seen differently
New Horizons dawn

Life is a journey
Every step a blessing
To travel in faith

Trust in the process
Love abounds in a full heart
That releases fear

There will be a lot of stone in my life soon. Looking forward to the geoscience conference field trip to the blue ridge this weekend. The practical and esoteric lessons of geology.
